STANKOVIĆ – SAHPAZIS – MÁRKOS TRIO (SER/GR/H)

Egy csipetnyi punk, rebellis szellem, a transz sodrása, a rock drámája, a hang tulajdonságaival való kísérletezés és némi urbánus folk. A Stanković-Sahpazis-Márkos trio (SER/GR/H) nemrég alakult Budapesten. A rebetiko alapú repertoárjukat szabad improvizatív zenével ötvözik. Huszadik század eleji kisázsiai és rebetiko klasszikusok mellett néhány szerb, horvát és bosnyák tradicionálist is játszanak, amelyek illeszkednek az együttes stílusához: mikrotonalitásukban, keleti díszítéseikben, és ritmikájukban. Tijana Stanković énekel és hegedül, Nikos Sahpazis oud-on, Márkos Albert csellón játszik. Sajátos kifejezésmódjára leltek az egymást kiegészítő rebetikónak és improvizatív zenének amelyeket mintha csak egymásnak teremtettek volna.
Nikos Sahpazis
A pinch of punk, the spirit of rebellion, thrust of trance, the drama of rock, the sonic experimentation and some urban folk! The Stanković-Sahpazis-Márkos trio (SER/GR/H) has recently formed in Budapest. Their rebetiko-influenced repertoire is permeated with strong free improvised sections. Among rebetico and Asia Minore classics from the first decades of the 20th century, there are a few traditional Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian tunes corresponding with the style of the ensemble’s performance: microtonality, oriental ornaments and adequate rhythmic systems. Tijana Stanković is singing and playing violin, Nikos Sahpazis on oud and Albert Márkos on cello. Together they have created an original expression with rebetiko and improvised music, complemented in a way that it seems to have been made for each other.
